Meet the Permanent Rumplteeza Gang

I am first and foremostly a cat lover. I have shared my home with at least 2 cats most of my life. They are wonderful creatures and for me they make my life complete. We have several special cats that call our house their forever home and my husband and I are THEIR humans and devoted slaves.
They are the usual meet and greet crew that all visitors to our home meet first and all are wonderful ambassadors for the Maine Coon cat.
So without further ado here they are!

Coonhaven Enchantment (Chanti) joined us in May 2003 and was to be our first breeding girl. She had other ideas however... but remains with us, beloved and the undisputed Queen of the Household.

Chanti has a totally wicked outlook on life. It's her way or else! She and I butted heads constantly when she was a young unspayed breeding girl but once she was desexed and matured a little she softened and I just adore her. At 11 years of age she remains firm with her feline subjects but is all sweetness and loving devotion with us.

Sad Update 7 June 2015: Our wonderful girl left us on the 20th of April 2015. When she was 7 years old she had acute kidney failure and it is a miracle that she recovered and we had another 5 years with her. She enjoyed good health during all but the last month when finally her kidneys decided enough was enough. Pictured here with our daughter who was her special human. Chanti was a huge presence in our lives and she is very much missed.

Rumplteeza Suzy Q

Picture
My precious Miss Q.

I do so love this cat and the feeling appears to be mutual. Suzy is MY cat.

Suzy was to be one of my breeding girls but her routine Heart Screen by ultrasound picked up a Peritoneal Pericardial Diaphramatic Hernia which required extensive surgery. We decided to spay her at the same time and ever since she has graced our home with her beauty and grace.

Suzy is a very chatty girl and she and I have long, very deep and meaningful conversations.

Our funny Squeak-a-Moo. Squeak is another of my cats that has a "thing" for my husband. She was his girl alone until her daughter Bella thrust herself into his heart. There is still plenty of room for "Squeaka" though and he makes sure she gets special "him and her" time. Squeak gave us 3 amazing litters of kittens and is my most successful breeding girl to date as far as show worthy offspring. Her daughter Georgia is now continuing the tradition,

9 years of planning and hard work and she finally arrived. My exquisite smoke dream.

Now retired from breeding after an emergency caesarian with her 2nd litter, Cienna means more to me than words can express and she is all I hoped for and more. Type and Colour plus the most amazing temperament. I am her human and it is an honour.

Her achievements on the show bench are nothing short of spectacular.

Multiple Best Group 1 awards and 3 Supreme ALL Breed Exhibit in show - the highest show award. She has won these awards across 3 different Cat Organisations under both National and International judges.

Making this girl even more special is that she goes right back to my first two breeding cats. Gd Ch. Rumtumtugger Milagro (Imp UK) and Ch. Coolcoons Iceland Poppy. She is a 4th Generation Rumplteeza!

Cienna is DNA Neg to the MyBPC3 Gene and will be Heart Screened early 2015.

Jack... I fell hard, it was so amazing to let myself fall for for this sweet, sweet little cat who has now grown into one of the largest boys I have ever bred.

Jack sired two litters for us with stunning results. His offspring have traveled to Japan and America as well as nationally as breeding cats. I am so proud of him! I neutered him early as he was too sweet to put outside in a stud run....

Visitors cannot believe when I tell them that this stunning hyper-social boy hated to be touched when he was a kitten. He stayed here because as a baby no visitor could get near him.

At six months that all changed and I finally found him a home. At the very last moment it fell through and I knew I couldn't let him go after that. I was in love.

Today he is my biggest smoochy, headbutting, sooky la la who loves everyone!  I've lost count of the prospective kitten owners that ask if he might possibly available! Some, I believe are even plotting kidnap!

As a child I dreamt of a ginger kitten who would be my devoted companion. Azzaro is the Red Cat of my dreams.

Our beautiful Bella has eyes for only one person. She is my husband's girl. They have one of those amazing animal/human bonds and I am sure if she was a dog Bella would accompany my husband everywhere.

She has been trained to harness by him and they go for walks most days in our garden. Bedtime, showertime, TV time etc. are all opportunities for these two lovebirds to be together. A wife could get quite jealous!

Our lovely girl, we call her Georgia. She looks so much like her father.

Georgia is a very large youngster and is competing surprisingly well the boys in her group at shows, even beating her father on several occasions! To date she is my most highly show titled girl and has managed this and raised some beautiful babies all before she was 2 years old!

Georgia's temperament is also lovely, quietly affectionate and she loves to sleep on my bed. She doesn't get too excited about much!

Georgia is DNA Neg for the MyBPC3 gene and was Heart Scanned Clear by a Board Certified Cardiologist on the 31st August 2011.

Ch. Exquisite Mark's Choice

Our most special girl. Markita is now retired and stays with us. She came to the Rumplteeza household through one of those rash, spur of the moment, totally crazy decisions that we all make from time to time. I've never regretted her for one second.

Markita is certainly a Beauty Queen but one who has no airs or graces. She gets on with everyone, was a wonderful mother who has produced some fantastic show winners including Rumplteeza Aspen, Kitten of the Year in 2007. Markita is the child of a once off mating, she was conceived in the USA and born in Australian Quarantine. I am so blessed to have her and she will stay on here forever to watch over her growing dynasty.

Her one fault, if you can call it that is a slight lack of intelligence which she tended to pass on to quite a few of her children. To me it makes her and those special kittens even more loveable. Who needs brains when you have such beauty?

Markita is Neg for the MyBPC3 Gene and has now had 3 clear Heart Ultrasounds.
1st scan: 18th September 2007
2nd scan: 7th September 2010
3rd scan: 21st December 2012

Sad Update: On Friday the 29th of November 2013 our beautiful girl became desperately ill. There was nothing we could do and I had to say goodbye. We did every test possible post mortem and the most we know is that she died of Pericarditis from an unknown cause. We miss her terribly.

Brash, pushy, demanding, over the top mega Lovebug... that is our fabulous Dakar!

This redhead is impossible to ignore and why would you want to anyway? Dakar is an impressively substantial cat, with wonderful boning, a great muzzley and lovely earset.

Dakar sired two litters for us and was neutered in late April 2015. I am running on two of his daughters from his last litter.

Dakar is DNA Negative for the MyBPC3 gene and was heart screened HCM Clear by echocardiagram on the 6th of October 2015.
